About this event

Updated on 23 de May, 2026
On May 23 and 24, the Teatro El Parque de Idartes transforms into the castle of the most famous vampire in history. The Red Escena company presents 'Dracula', a play that blends the mystery of the Prince of Wallachia with a touch of comedy, perfect for family enjoyment. Children will be fascinated by the story of Vlad Tepes, while adults will laugh at the antics of this character who has transcended horror to become a cultural icon. The schedule includes two performances: Saturday May 23 at 3:00 p.m. and Sunday May 24 at 11:00 a.m. Both shows last approximately 60 minutes, ideal for keeping the little ones engaged. The theater offers a cozy atmosphere and excellent acoustics, ensuring an immersive experience. We recommend arriving 20 minutes early to enjoy the prelude and choose the best seats. The theater is accessible for people with reduced mobility and comfortable clothing is suggested. If you come by public transport, the nearest TransMilenio station is Avenida Jiménez, just a 10-minute walk away. Teatro El Parque, part of the Instituto Distrital de las Artes (IDARTES), is an iconic venue in Bogotá dedicated to promoting performing arts. With a history of over 50 years, it has hosted countless plays that foster culture and entertainment for the entire community. Don't miss this unique opportunity to celebrate Dracula Day in a magical and educational setting.
